Kenny Chandrasekera

Board of Directors

Kenny Chandrasekera is the Director of Operations at a software company focused on data infrastructure. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Yale University.

His career has focused on bringing together technical and non-technical teams, translating broad goals into concrete plans, and building the systems and processes needed to execute them. While in college, Kenny worked on developing a child-friendly formulation of a rare-disease drug.

Early in his career, he helped biotech and pharma companies create equitable work distributions for employees. When he moved beyond formulas and started programming Excel workbooks to aid clients, he decided to switch full-time into software engineering.

Later, he worked as a technical program manager for a telehealth company during the COVID-19 pandemic, during which he contributed to the launch of new digital health programs, including an expansion for people with Type 1 Diabetes.

Kenny joined the MSF Board of Directors in 2026. He brings his background in technology, healthcare, and organizational operations to help MSF scale its translational research agenda while advancing support for patients and families. Originally from Sri Lanka, Kenny now lives in New York. In his spare time, he ikes to play Wingspan over the board, Balatro on the computer, and volleyball out in the real world.
