Victoria Walton Chirieleison

Victoria spent four decades in education — coaching and teaching aquatics and swimming at all levels in New Mexico while raising four children, then spending the past twelve years working with twice-exceptional students at a STEM high school. At 52, she returned to school, earning Master's degrees in Teaching and Educational Leadership. She also holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts, a principal's certificate, and is a National Board Certified Teacher.

Her youngest son, Xandy, was diagnosed in 2024 with Myhre Syndrome at the age of 33. The diagnosis brought answers to long-awaited questions and puzzles that his family had sought over the years. Xandy now lives on a farm in the Pacific Northwest with a companion — happily driving his tractor, mowing fields, chopping wood, and tending to his dogs and chickens.

Victoria joined the Myhre Syndrome Foundation board in 2026, bringing her experience as an educator of students with complex needs to the work of raising awareness and supporting families navigating rare disease diagnoses.

She lives in the Pacific Northwest with her husband. In her free time, she can be found hiking, swimming, making art, and supporting the farm.
